Mandatory Ethical Approval Policy
The existence of a mandatory ethical approval policy means that the academic journal formally establishes, within its regulatory documents, a requirement to comply with ethical and legal standards in the conduct and publication of research involving human participants, animals or their biological materials, as well as the use of personal or confidential data, in accordance with the applicable legislation of Ukraine.
Under this policy, manuscripts based on such research may be submitted for publication only if accompanied by a positive opinion issued by a relevant ethics committee or other authorized body. Authors must also confirm compliance with requirements concerning informed consent, personal data protection, and the humane treatment of animals.
In particular, research conducted by authors affiliated with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv must obtain approval (an expert opinion) from the Committee on Bioethics of Scientific Research at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv:

Responsibility for obtaining all necessary permits and approvals, as well as for ensuring that the research complies with applicable ethical and legal standards, rests with the authors. The editorial board reserves the right to verify the relevant supporting documentation and to refuse publication if such documentation is absent or does not meet the established requirements.
