Abstract

B a c k g r o u n d . It is studied that religious faith is a set of beliefs that an individual or a group of people have about the existence, nature and role of divine forces or higher beings that influence their lives and the universe. The procedural influence of religious faith on a person is constantly changing and manifests itself in specific life situations, its personal forms of presentation, which are transformed depending on the circumstances and contextuality, are of great relevance. The purpose of the article is to elucidate the essential characteristics of the comprehension of religious faith by Ukrainian diaspora thinkers as an existential and personal form of human presentation.

M e t h o d s . A set of methods was used, including content analysis and generalization to clarify the essential characteristics of religious faith by representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora, a comparative method to compare different contextual manifestations of religious faith,

a hermeneutic method to interpret the texts of diaspora, a systematic approach to consider the impact of religious faith on the existential and personal space of a person.

R e s u l t s . Religious faith is a multifunctional phenomenon that has a profound impact on the personal and existential experience of Ukrainian diaspora thinkers. It helps to form moral values, provides psychological support, provides answers to fundamental life questions, and promotes social, ethnic, and religious integration as a meaningful factor in life.

С o n c l u s i o n s . Religious faith, acting as a factor in the worldview attitudes of diasporic thinkers, contributes to the formation of existential-personal meanings in such personalization processes as individualization (adaptation and acceptance of religious changes) and subjectivation (deep internal process of integrating religion into personal identity). It is noted that the experience of faith is manifested in social, ethno-national and religious "slices".
