Розглядаються складові концепту демократичного управління в країнах Латинської Америки за умов авторитарних та демократичних режимів. Аналізуються авторитарні стратегії економічного та політичного управління в межах правих та лівих режимів. Особливу увагу приділено розвитку політико-економічної теорії в Бразилії, а також проблем "економічного дива" у контексті авторитарного політичного режиму, а також політичних та економічних наслідків авторитаризму в контексті процесів демократичного транзиту.
