Abstract

B a c k g r o u n d . The relevance of this topic stems from the necessity to study international experience in post-war resolution of issues in the religious sphere, which is crucial for contemporary Ukraine amidst its war with Russia. The religious sphere often serves as either a source of stabilization or a factor of conflict. Therefore, integrating international approaches can contribute to ensuring religious security, restoring social peace, and fostering societal consolidation. The author emphasizes the importance of examining the role of the religious factor in rebuilding social structures, preventing radicalization, and integrating internally displaced persons into society.

M e t h o d s . The study employs comparative, logical, and hermeneutic methods. The comparative method facilitated an analysis of the experiences of Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other countries recovering from large-scale conflicts. The logical method enabled a structural analysis of the challenges related to religious security in Ukraine, while the hermeneutic method provided a deeper understanding of the interconnection between religious aspects and social realities.

R e s u l t s . The study of international experience highlights that the key elements of successful post-war resolution include establishing legal mechanisms to guarantee religious freedom, creating institutions for interfaith dialogue, countering radicalization, and ensuring transparency in the activities of religious organizations. Germany's experience after World War II underscored the importance of a democratic model of religious governance, whereas the practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina emphasized the significance of international cooperation in resolving ethno-religious conflicts.

C o n c l u s i o n s . The integration of international experience must consider the specific features of the war in Ukraine and the role of religion as a component of national security. The proposed measures aim to ensure sustainable social peace based on mutual trust, cooperation, and a shared commitment to national recovery.
